# Onboarding Process

> Step-by-step guide to becoming an iBTCY investor

The onboarding process is designed to be thorough yet efficient, with verification steps running in parallel.

## Timeline

## Process Overview

## Phase 1: Express Interest

Participation remains **invite-only** and subject to issuer acceptance after eligibility checks.

**Prepare:**

* Entity type (Individual or Entity)
* Expected investment amount
* EVM wallet address
* Custody type (self-custody or institutional)

## Phase 2: Verification

Three steps run in parallel:

### KYC/KYB (via Sumsub)

* Identity verification
* Liveness check
* PEP, sanctions, adverse media screening

### Forms

* Investor Self-Certification
* CRS Self-Certification
* W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E

### Wallet Verification

* Self-custody: Signed message (ETH) or small test transaction of Bitcoin (BTC, at Ceffu’s discretion)
* Institutional: Custody letter from provider
* All wallets screened via Chainalysis

## Required Documents

### Individuals

* Government-issued photo ID (passport preferred)
* Proof of address (\< 3 months old)
* Source of Funds declaration

### Entities

* Certificate of Incorporation (certified)
* Memorandum & Articles of Association
* Entity proof of address
* Register of Directors and Members
* Corporate structure diagram
* List of shareholders >25% (certified)
* Board Resolution

**For shareholders >25% and 2+ directors:** Certified passport + proof of address

## Phase 3: Subscribe

After verification, you'll receive:

* **Subscription Agreement**: Binding legal contract
* **Risk Factors**: Comprehensive risk disclosure

## Phase 4: Deposit

Upon signing:

1. Dashboard access at [app.aarc.xyz](https://app.aarc.xyz)
2. Deposit address provided
3. Transfer BTC to begin

### If compliance cannot be completed

If you do not satisfy the issuer’s requirements within the period in your Subscription Agreement, the agreement may terminate and amounts may be returned subject to permitted costs described in that agreement.
